I installed it on one of my apartment's kitchen walls, the sound and looks are great, there is no need to adjust the bass/treble, I've been using it every day since I bought it... my family is in love with it too, great investment, no complaints at all!

This stereo would be great if it wasn't for the fact that the bass is far too much and can't be turned down.

This was rated the best of all the machines in this type. I cannot get the MP3 player to work with my CDs. Perhaps I have to make new CDs and format them in a manner agreeable with the TEAC. Also, the reciever is just OK for the tight valley I live in, so I get a background full of static.
Still, it has strong sound, the timer brings up commercial CD or tuner stations on-time. I miss a buzzer, but I will know I am late when the music goes off automatically.

Non of the retail stores had a machine with these features. It's incrdibly hard to find a player that will play MP3 disks and which has the timer features this TEAC model does. In that respect it is exactly what I was looking for. I also like the heavy base tone and am not sure I would mess with it if I could. I would prefer a manual door rather than the motorized door (which works fine) and it would be nice if it played multiple disks so I could load it up with non-MP3 disks when that urge struck. If you buy or check out books on MP3 disks from the library, this is just what you are looking for. Set the timer, fluff your pillow, and let it put you to sleep. It's relatively easy to go back the the next night and find the last track you remember.
