LONG story short:
Bought alarm from a authorized dealer at the time.
Jumpstarted my car since my battery was dead.
Fried brain of the Viper alarm.
returned to dealer, they are not autorized anymore, have to ship back to DEI.
Called ahead and got the ok to ship burnt alarm. shipped it.
Called to check on status, and they are shipping me back my fried alarm and said that this WASNT A FAULT PRODUCT, BUT CONSUMERS FAULT. The rep continued to tell me that it was my fault because I tried to jump start the car, and no one at Viper did that. Oddly enuf my car dvd player or amp didnt fry, but my viper alarm did, and from a jumpstart??! how was i to avoid that. "well did you read the manual front to back" he said, and I said heck no, and that no one i have heard from has ever heard of this situations.
Needless to say they WILL NOT honor the lifetime waranty because it was my fault they said.... BE WARNED!!! I AM SO MAD RIGHT NOW!!
