I have been detailing/repairing paint finishes in cars as a side business for over 20 years and this product is the best by far that I have ever used. M105 should be used with the understanding that M205 is to be used next. Anytime you compound you must always polish too. Then I recommend using Meg's 2.0 sealant. Make sure you use the appropriate foam pads when applying these products but once finished you will be shocked at the imperfections that these products will remove in your car's finish. Do not plan to do all 3 steps in the same day (unless your absolutely mad), to do it properly try and do this in a friends Garage or in your own over a few days. Once finished the car will look like a mirror! Also check around for pricing on this stuff often Amazon isn't the lowest.

Using the SMAT technology non-diminishing abrasives this is probably the best product to hit the market since polish was invented. The learning curve from beginning to experts using a Dual action polisher (like the G110) to grabbing the tried and true rotary is simply amazing. It lets everyone get perfect results. Very long work times just add to the overall quality of this product. If you detail for a living this product is an absolute must have in any detailers product list. This one isn't hype like so many products of the past. It actually works and works better than anything I've seen on the market in over 15 years of daily detailing.

Meg's has created a very nice compound with M105 Ultra Cut Compound. Unlike tradition compounds, M105 does not use diminishing abrasives so you do not have to work the product near as long as traditional compounds which will speed up the process of correcting swirling and other marring in the paint. M105 works very well with wool on a rotary polisher.
One of the biggest complaints of the original formula was that it "flashed" too quickly not giving the detailer enough time to work the product. The new formula allows for a longer working time but keep in mind, this product corrects paint quickly so you don't need to go over your work section too many times to get your desired result.
Meguiars just came out with a finishing polish companion for M105 called M205. I haven't tried it yet but have heard good things about it.
Fast and easy June 11, 2009

This is an amazingly fast compound. It does it's job in about a minute. No waiting for abrasives to break down. Polish for a minute and wipe off. Inspect and move on. Removes swirls and scratches very effectively. Needs #205 to finish to perfection. This is a breakthrough technology, IMO. This product saves me gobs of time. Clean your pads after every couple of passes. Works well with a rotary, DA or by hand. Surprisingly good correction with the DA.
