It's a gasket... November 25, 2008
What can be said about a gasket? It's needed for this application (connecting the header to the Y-pipe on Honda and Acuras). Other then making your own this is kinda needed.
My original gasket was installed about three years ago and held up perfectly fine. But just recently I removed the header to wrap it and found out that the original gasket was super brittle (just looking at it turned it into dust).
Pros:
Creates a tight fit between the header and Y-pipe.
Cons:
Kinda spendy.
