This product is a must before applying glazes/waxes. Although claying your vehicle can get a lot of contamination off you paint, this cleaner will help your paint feel silky smooth, even before applying the wax. As menioned in another review, it is brown and does stain whatever you apply it with (which should be the applicator pads) and wipe it off with (microfiber or terry cloth). With all natural oils and materials, its one of the safest products you can feed the paint of your vehicle with.

After the usual wash and clay bar usage i can sit a bottl on my hood and it wont slide off.. after using the hd cleanes even on the slightest incline the paint is so silky smooth that it will slide right off.. this product is great but, with its dark brown color it can stain some scratches in lighter color cars ( i have a pearl white one) it isnt a bad stain but it is noticeable and hard to get out if not careful.. also consider the applicator that you use with this product for this product only as there is no washing out the dark brown stains... after using this applying the zymol wax is a breeze.. it buffs out much easier and the shine is nice
 Easy application - good at surface preparation April 27, 2008
I took a leap of faith and purchased the Zymol cleanse and carbon wax. I had no idea if these products were worth their cost compared to other cleaners and waxes, but thought they would be worth a shot.
The HD Cleanse is easy to use. I also used clay bars for really tough surface contaminants. As a comparator, I think cleanse is easier to use, but doesn't get out "baked on" contaminants as well as clay. That being said, the car surface was noticably smoother. I used the cleanse on the top surfaces prior to using the wax. When I started waxing over the car, the wax went on whisper quiet. Waxing was so easy that I tried it on side surfaces that I didn't use the cleanse, with noticable differences - noiser and more resistance.
After I was done with the cleanse and wax the car surface was smooth and the color really jumped out. I barely used much of either product, so even though they are pricy, I think I will get many applications out of both. So they do give good value despite the high up front price.
