I use this on a weekly basis to keep my car looking new. It takes away all the fine dirt from the paint without leaving any scratches. For the bug spots/tar/water spots, I recommend using Turtle Wax T520 Bug & Tar Remover, 16 ounces Trigger to wipe away and polish those areas. Using these two items will leave your car looking like it just came from a detailer's shop but is less expensive and less of a hassle compared to using soap and water.

I bought these for use in keeping an airplane clean. My airport doesn't allow chemicals to be used in washing planes, and plain water is not quite enough.
There is still a need to scrub the bugs off, but, since planes don't generally get extremely dirty, this product does an admirable job with basic touch ups.
